Prospex

El Romeral

Spain

Prospex holds a 100% working interest in the El Romeral gas and power project in southern Spain through its subsidiary Tarba Energía

El Romeral has ongoing production from three wells (El Ciervo-1, Santa Clara-1, and Sevilla-1) and is supported by a well-established dataset, including extensive seismic and historical exploration data. Multiple discoveries have been made across the area, several of which are commercial in nature.

Production is integrated with an on-site gas-to-power plant equipped with three gas engines, which convert gas into electricity. The asset is supported by 25 km of local pipelines and is connected to Spain’s national gas network, providing flexibility for future offtake.

Additional development includes a rooftop solar installation to reduce operating costs, alongside plans for a 5 MW solar project to support future growth and energy efficiency.
